Wild Mahseer
There is really something
special at Wild Mahseer, and you will get this pleasant feeling immediately
upon arrival. It used to be the estate of the manager of the tea garden, and
has retained all the flavour of those bygone times - with modern amenities
and a first class kitchen for the sophisticated traveler. The main building
is a nice bungalow, very well and tastefully furnished with antiques and
colonial pieces. Modern, comfortable chairs in the verandah filled with
light, overlooking a wide manicured garden. Nice master dining room.
Wonderful suites, with first class bathrooms. Very large sitting room, full
of light in daytime, quiet and cozy at night. Also the few other smaller
bungalows are nice, although much simpler. The entire staff is excellent -
to begin with the charming hostess and the attend manager, Mr. Durgadar
Sarcas - throughout the day. The cooks deserve a special mention: the menu,
which changes at every meal, is rather close to classical indian cuisine -
what makes the difference is that here you get a really GOOD indian cuisine,
made with love and with all the small details which will make a meal at Wild
Mahseer unforgettable. Plan to spend at least two full days in this piece of
paradise. |
