Itinerary

Day 1 - New Delhi

 

Welcome to India. Meet at Delhi Hotel Grand Central at 8 am. You will be received by our "Incredible Real India" representative at hotel and assist you there.

 

A full day sight seeing of New Delhi, seeing the India gate, Parliament house, the Secretariat building and the Presidential house. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 2 - Shekhawati (Shekhawati Region Silk Route) 250 km

 

Arrive at hotel after small break, enjoy evening visits of Mandawa havelis and village life. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 3 - Shekhawati (Shekhawati Region Silk Route)

 

Morning visit Shekhawati region to a town called Nawalgarh/ Dundlod. These town and the nearby areas of Shekhawati region are famed for its beautiful painted haveli’s (mansions) which were constructed by wealthy merchants of the region in the 18th and 19th centuries. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 4 – Bikaner 190 km

 

Drive down through Shekhawati region to Bikaner. In the afternoon you will be taken on a half day city tour of the Junagarh Fort, excursion to world famous Rat’s Temple at Deshnok town.  Overnight in Hotel.

Day 5 - Jaisalmer (The Golden City) 350 km

 

Drive down to Jaisalmer, Driving through the Rajasthani Thar desert you arrive at Jaisalmer, one of the jewels in India’s crown. Exquisite wood and sandstone buildings dot the town and within Jaisalmer Fort are homes, hotels and shops hidden in ancient lane ways.  Overnight in Hotel.

Day 6 - Jaisalmer (The Golden City)

 

Visiting the JAISALMER FORT - The oldest living Fort in the world and some astonishing Havelis (Mansions). In the afternoon, proceed to the Thar Sand Dunes for Camel safari & a typical Rajasthani Desert Village. View the sunset from the dunes, as the sky is set on fire. Stay at camp in the village.

 

Later enjoy Complimentary Typical Rajasthani dinner and live Gipsy music.

Day 7 - Jodhpur (The Sun City) 275 km

 

In Morning drive to Jodhpur. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort, rising up a hilly scarp, built on the advice of a hermit, overlooking the city of blue houses in the image of a long sentinel.  Evening enjoy at spice market. Overnight stay.

Day 8 - Udaipur (The City of Lakes) 290 km

 

En-route visit the Ranakpur, Jain Temple. Arrive Udaipur in the evening. Evening at leisure.

Day 9 - Udaipur (The City of Lakes)

 

Visit the City Palace the richest palace museum in the entire Rajasthan. Later, see the Sahelion ki Bari where Maharana Sangram Singh build this garden complex with fountains and lakes for his beautiful daughter. In the evening sunset at Lake Pichola and visit the island palace Jagmandir where according to legends the Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan lived and got inspired to build the Taj Mahal later. Evening at leisure.

Day 10 - Pushkar (The only Brahma Temple in the world) 300km

 

Drive down for Pushkar, which happens to be the holiest places according to the Hindus as it is considered that Lord Brahma (the Creator) and his wife Saraswati (the goddess of learning and music) performed a ritual in the lake. Here we visit the only Brahma temple in the world before intermingling with the local colors in the local bazaar. Pushkar is also world famous for its cattle fair, which is held each year in the month of October/November.

Day 11 - Jaipur (The Pink City) 150 km

 

After breakfast continue towards Jaipur and reach by lunch-time and check into hotel. After lunch set off to see the Birla Temple and Shopping in the evening at Pink city. visiting the observatory Jantar Mantar built in 1727 by Sawai Maharaja Jai Singh II who was a mathematician, an astronomer an astrologer and a great musician of his era. Then visit the City Palace of the Maharaja of Jaipur with a fabulous collection of robes and saris in cotton and silk with gold latticed work. Evening at leisure.

Day 12 - Jaipur (The Pink City)

 

A full day's program takes you to nearby visiting the observatory Jantar Mantar built in 1727 by Sawai Maharaja Jai Singh II who was a mathematician, an astronomer an astrologer and a great musician of his era. Then visit the City Palace of the Maharaja of Jaipur with a fabulous collection of robes and saris in cotton and silk with gold latticed work. Amber fort, then up to the awesome fortress by elephant. Day 13 - Agra (Taj Mahal closed on Friday) 250 km - Book Now

 

The morning drive leads you to Agra via Emperor Akbar’s deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri, an almost perfectly preserved 4oo year old Mughal capital. Quintessential Mughal city that was the capital of their empire in the 16th and 17th centuries. Apart from Taj Mahal, theirs is the magnificent Agra Fort to visit. Day 14 - Orchha - 220 km

Day 15 - Orchha

 

Situated on the banks of the Betwa River, Orchha has changed little over the centuries. Originally a hunting area, it became the centre and capital of the Bundelas. Orchha has more temples and palaces than any town of this size deserves!

 

We spend our time here with a exploring the palace and temples scattered across the peaceful countryside, walking in rural areas untouched by modern life and meeting the very friendly local people. The river water is cold but clean enough to swim in. You will have free time afterwards to stroll the few streets or walk along the river. Maybe spend the evening taking in the puja ceremony between 7pm and 8pm - it's held twice daily at the Ram Raja Temple, depending on the season. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 16 – Khajuraho - (The city of Kamasutra temples) 190km

 

Drive to Khajuraho, we head through the rural areas of Madhya Pradesh to the remote town of Khajuraho.

Day 17 – Khajuraho to Varanasi (The Ganges) Over Night Train

 

Morning sight seeing shows us the temples built during the 9th to the 11th centuries by the powerful dynasty of Chandela Rajputs. Visit western group of temple (Kama Sutra Temple), beautifully preserved ancient and famous temples which are infamous for their explicit carvings depicting the full range of the Eroticism. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 18 – Varanasi

 

Varanasi, formerly known as Banaras, is one of the most important religious cities in India. When you walk the crowded streets of the old city near the Ganges river, you will see holy men, holy cows, and holy temples all over the place.

 

Early in the morning at the time of sunrise we take you to banks of the river Ganges where we board a boat to see the morning ablutions of the Hindus from the security of our boat. The boat ride starts from Dasashwamedh Ghat and ends at Manikarnika Ghat along the sacred Ganges, You can visit Assi Ghat, Dasaswamedh Ghat, Harish Chandra Ghat, Manikarnika Ghat, Tulsi Ghat. See the Kashi Vishwanath temple and the Gyanvyapi kund and the mosque attached to it. Also visit the Banaras Hindu University the largest residential university in India with more than 3000 residential students. Return to your hotel for breakfast. Later visit Sarnath the sacred city for the Buddhist all over the world. It was here that Lord Buddha preached his first sermon to his first five disciples. Also worth visiting is the museum with artifacts dating back to 3rd century BC. Visit the nearby ruins of the ancient seat of learning in Sarnath. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 19 – Varanasi to New Delhi - Over Night Train

 

In the morning, take a leisurely breakfast, Later take a flight to Delhi, Upon Arrival in Delhi, You will be received by one of the team member of “Incredible Real India Tours”.  You can visit Sikh Temple or you can walk around Cannaught Place, Take a dinner in the restaurants at this center of the city. Overnight in Hotel.
