Diwali is a celebrated as a festival of lights. it is the most popular and rich festivals of hindu people. people celebrates diwali or deepawali in memories of when Lord Rama came to ayodhya again after lanka victory.

Festival of Lights In India
Diwali is called as festival of lights In India. It is the most famous festival that celebrated by Hindu religion. In this festival all Nation lighted their house from candle and splitting lights. It is the big day for Hindu. the “festival of lights” is celebrated with much enthusiasm and zeal in all India.

It is the festival that regaurded to bring the supernatural joy and brightness in a person’s life with the hope of discovering light amidst darkness and to achieving happiness in place of ignorance and spreading of love amidst hatred and violence.

There is a story related to this festival. According to Hindu Mythology Diwali celebrates the homecoming of Lord Ram, who according to a legend came home to Ayodhya after defeating the evil Ravana and spending fourteen years in exile.

RAM was the big son of Dasrath and Kaushlaya. In this festival all peoples spread the sweets and play cards. Also it is the day of earning money because on this day mother LAKSHMI came and give peace and happiness.
 

Importance of Deepawali Festival
This festival is celebrated all over the India. It is said that Lord Shri Ram was returned to his kingdom ‘Ayodhya (Utter Pradesh)’ after fourteen years exit with sita and laxman. this festival is specialy celebrated in Uttar Pradesh in India.

People clean their houses, shops and temple of ‘Lord Rama’ and decorated with flower or light on this day. There is a heavy rush in the market. Sweets shop and utensil shops are specialy decorated. People make purchases, they purchases sweets, toys, earthen-lamps, fire -works and crackers. A list is also prepared for gifts meant for relatives and friends. .Ladies prepare special food and sweets on the day of deepawali. Business man open new account. In the night all family members worshiped goddess laxmi. They performed pooja or arti and they pray for wealth and prosperity. Then they eat sweet and delicious food. At night people & children play fireworks and crackers. Finally they goes to market see the light. They enjoy tham very much on this day.

On this day people give and take Greeting card, Gifts and sweets from their relatives. People enjoy this festival very much. All family members wear new cloth and they goes to temple of goddess laxmi and pray for health and wealth.
 

Deepawali Festival Celebration In India
India is a land of a festival. There are many festivals of the Hindus. But Indian like the diwali or Deepavali festivals one of most popular festival. Deepawali means roas of lamp. It is comes in the month of october or november. Deepavali is festival of light. It is one of the biggest festival of the Hindus. It is said that shri Ram return to his kingdom Ayodhya after completing his 14-year exile with their laxman and sita.

It shows the victory of ‘good over evil’. It is victory of ‘light over darkness’. Deepavali is festival of excitement and joy. Diwali is one the most celebrated festival in India. Sweets shop and utensil shops are specialy decorated. People make purchases earthen-lamps, fire -works and crackers. Ladies prepare special food and sweets. people clean their houses and shops
and decorated on this day. There is a heavy rush in the market. Business man open new account.

In the evening, they light earthen-lamps and candles there is light everywhere. Men, women and children all put on fine dresses. Children’s play with fire works and crackers, they enjoy them very much.

At the night all the members of the family worship lakshmi - The goddess of wealth. They pray for health and wealth. They go to market to see light. Loving mothers affectionate brothers and sisters and beloved wives all looks very happy. The young, the old and the children every one is very happy.
